Sam Pearman and Georgie Pearman - owners and managers
Sam and Georgie come from Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.  Both left to go to London where Georgie trained and worked as a lawyer and Sam trained with the Langans Group as a chef and manager and then moved to the Glasshouse in Kew working alongside Anthony Boyd. They returned to the Cotswolds area two years ago and opened the Royal Well Tavern in Cheltenham (www.theroyalwelltavern.com) in May 2008 and the Wheatsheaf Inn in Northleach in October 2008. The Royal Well Tavern was named Metro's Best Newcomer for 2008 and was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in January 2009.

Recently, Sam was the consultant for the opening of The Kingham Plough in Oxfordshire which was lauded as one of the best new restaurant openings in the UK for 2007.
 

 

Ashley Harlow - General Manager

Ashley is the Wheatsheaf's general manager.  Ashley was the manager at the Angel at Heytesbury for the last four years and prior to that worked as the manager at the Pear Tree Inn in Witley.  During Ashley's time there it won the Catering Pub of the Year and The Good Pub Guide's Wiltshire Dining Pub of the Year.

 

Head Chef
The Wheatsheaf's head chef is Bern Harfenmeister who trained, amongst other places at the French Laundry in California and the Clarence Hotel in Dublin.
