The Royal Well Tavern opened in May 2008 and it has been fully refurbished, having been a small town centre pub with a famous late night reputation.
The head chef is Humphrey Fletcher who has spent the last ten years working at restaurants in London such as Kensington Place under Rowley Leigh, the Glasshouse in Kew under Anthony Boyd and the River Cafe under Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers. Humphrey is known for delicious, simple and straightforward food and a commitment to using fresh, seasonal and local produce.
